1 min read
Your referrer spent their time and put their name behind your CV. A quick, genuine thank-you is good manners and keeps the door open for the future.
Straight after they refer you
Hi [name], thank you for referring me for the [role] position. I really appreciate it, and I'll keep you posted on how it goes.
If you get an interview
Hi [name], quick update: I've been invited to interview for [role]. Thank you again for your help.
If it doesn't work out
Hi [name], I heard back and it isn't going forward this time. Thank you for your support, I'm grateful you put me forward.
