Interviews usually end with a chance to ask questions. It is a good moment to show you have thought about the job and to find out whether it suits you.
Prepare three
Some questions will be answered during the conversation, so bring a few spare ones. Write them down and it is fine to look at your notes.
Examples by theme
- The role: what would success look like after the first six months?
- The team: how does the team share feedback and make decisions?
- Learning: how do people here keep developing?
- The process: what are the next steps, and when should I expect to hear?
What to leave for later
- Questions you could answer yourself by reading the job description or the company's website.
- Detailed questions about pay and benefits, which are usually better handled with the recruiter once there is an offer.
Listen to the answers and follow up on one of them. Then send a short thank-you afterwards.
