Before-you-send checklist

A last look before you ask someone for a referral. It runs in your browser and nothing is saved.

Takes about 2 minutes

0 of 10 done

The message

Name the specific role, and link to the job description.
Give two or three sentences on why you fit, using the job description's own words.
Keep it short enough to read on a phone without scrolling much.
Make one clear ask, and an easy way to say no.

What you attach

Attach your current CV, saved with a clear file name.
Check every link opens, including on a phone.
State your right to work and notice period if they are relevant.

Before you press send

Check their name, company and the role are spelled correctly.
Read it aloud once to catch awkward wording.
Note the date in your tracker, so you know when to follow up.

Ready to ask?

Pick an employee who refers for your role and send your CV with a short note.
